Our Foundation

Established January 29, 2002

The Young Entrepreneurs Association of Laos (YEAL) was officially established under the approval of the Party Central Committee, with the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union as the direct leadership organization. Our association was created to unite, strengthen, and advance young entrepreneurs across the nation.

Our Mission & Objectives

  • Unite & Strengthen: To bring together young entrepreneurs from across the country, fostering unity, knowledge exchange, mutual support, and collective development. We aim to build strength and progress that enables our members to compete and cooperate on the international stage.
  • Empower Youth: To promote and develop young Lao people of all ethnicities to become knowledgeable, capable entrepreneurs with revolutionary qualities. We cultivate economic warriors for the Party and people, following Party and government guidelines while contributing to our nation's development and prosperity.

Currently, there are 13 provinces with provincial associations that have been officially established and are operating normally.
Provinces that have not yet been officially established but have a number of businessmen who are active include 5 provinces: Phongsaly, Oudomxay, Xaysomboun, Saravan and Sekong.

Background of the Lao National Young Entrepreneurs Association

The Lao National Young Entrepreneurs Association (LNYEA) was officially established on January 29, 2002 (Download document regarding the Agreement on Approval of LNYEA Establishment No. 33/LC) under the approval of the Party Central Committee, with the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union Central Committee as the direct leading and guiding organization. The primary goals and objectives are:

  • To unite young entrepreneurs from across the country, exchange lessons learned, help and support each other, and jointly develop to become stronger and more progressive, enabling them to cooperate and compete internationally.
  • To promote Lao youth of all ethnicities and tribes to become entrepreneurs and businesspeople with knowledge, capabilities, and revolutionary qualities as economic warriors of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, implementing Party and government policies while contributing to the nation-building and development mission to make our country increasingly prosperous.

The Executive Committee is divided into 4 committees.

  • Advisory Committee of the Lao National Young Entrepreneurs Association: 8 members
  • Executive Committee of the Lao National Young Entrepreneurs Association: 13 members
  • Administrative Board of the Lao National Young Entrepreneurs Association: 30 members
  • Inspection Committee of the Lao National Young Entrepreneurs Association: 5 members

Provincial-level Associations:

  • Currently, there are 13 provinces with officially established provincial associations that operate regularly
